What we teach

Not sure which one fits? and we’ll work it out.

High school & AP Chemistry

Make sense of the fundamentals and build confidence for class, homework and the AP exam.

Topics include atoms and bonding, stoichiometry, acids and bases.

General Chemistry I & II

Turn equations into understanding. We work through the ideas and the calculations behind your college course.

Topics include equilibrium, thermodynamics, kinetics.

Organic Chemistry I & II

Find the patterns behind the reactions, connect structure to reactivity, and get the hard parts to make sense.

Topics include stereochemistry, mechanisms, synthesis.

How a session goes

  1. Start with your questions.

A confusing lecture, a tough problem set, an exam coming up. We begin where things stop making sense.

  2. Connect the ideas.

We break down the reasoning, build from what you already know, and work through examples at your pace.

  3. Try the next one yourself.

You work a problem and talk through your thinking, and you leave with a clear idea of what to practice next.

Who we are

We’re both chemistry PhD students at the University of Arkansas, researching polymer and organic chemistry in Dr. Michael McGraw’s lab. We spend our days asking chemistry questions, so bring yours.
